Oil & Gas opportunities for New Zealand Suppliers

Queensland LNG Projects are now under way with the recent announcements confirming Final Investment Decisions regarding Gladstone LNG (GLNG) and Queensland Curtis LNG (QCLNG) Projects. The GLNG has an estimate cost of more than US$16 billion from now to the end of 2015.

The GLNG Downstream project comprises of the LNG facility on Curtis Island which will include an LNG processing train, LNG storage tanks and a export terminal.

The GLNG project also involves exploration and production of coal seam gas in the Surat and Bowen Basins, a 435 km gas pipeline from the gas fields to the Gladstone, a gas liquefaction and export facility on Curtis Island.

Both the GLNG and the QCLNG project team are working collaboratively with the Industry Capability Network (ICN) to identify competitive local industry to participate in the project.

Because of the importance of these projects and New Zealand’s capability there is a wide range of opportunities for New Zealand manufactures.

Full details of these projects are listed on our website www.icn.govt.nz under ICN Gateway then go to "Looking for Projects" click on "Australia" and the full list will come up which has full details of the project and the current work packages

Some of the current work packages include Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Environment, Water Treatment, Control System and Civil

Please ensure you are registered with the ICN otherwise you maybe overlooked by the project team.

You should also contact Eddo Roggeveen at the ICN office in Queensland who will be able to assist you on these projects.
