Queensland LNG Projects are now under way with the recent announcements confirming Final Investment Decisions regarding Gladstone LNG (GLNG) and Queensland Curtis LNG (QCLNG) Projects. The GLNG has an estimate cost of more than US$16 billion from now to the end of 2015.
The GLNG Downstream project comprises of the LNG facility on Curtis Island which will include an LNG processing train, LNG storage tanks and a export terminal.
The GLNG project also involves exploration and production of coal seam gas in the Surat and Bowen Basins, a 435 km gas pipeline from the gas fields to the Gladstone, a gas liquefaction and export facility on Curtis Island.
Both the GLNG and the QCLNG project team are working collaboratively with the Industry Capability Network (ICN) to identify competitive local industry to participate in the project.
Because of the importance of these projects and New Zealand’s capability there is a wide range of opportunities for New Zealand manufactures.
