The Ichthys Project is a Joint Venture between INPEX Browse Ltd (76%, the Operator) and Total E&P Australia (24%). Gas from the Ichthys Field, in the Browse Basin offshore of Western Australia, will undergo preliminary processing offshore to remove water and raw liquids, including condensate. The gas will then be exported to the onshore processing facilities in Darwin via an 850km subsea pipeline. The Ichthys Project is expected to produce more than 8 million tonnes of LNG, approximately 1.6 million tonnes of LPG per annum and 100,000 barrels of condensate per day.

The joint venture is now working towards the commercialisation of this resource and on 26 September 2008 announced that it had selected Middle Arm Peninsula at Blaydin Point in Darwin Harbour in the Northern Territory, to develop a liquefied natural gas processing facility.

In collaboration with the NTICN the Ichthys Project will communicate upcoming contracting and procurement opportunities via ICN Gateway, companies wishing to register interest in the Project are encouraged to register.

ICN Gateway will also be utilised to communicate general information and updates related to Ichthys contracting and procurement activities.

Companies that register through ICN Gateway and complete a supplier resume are then accessible by all future searches NTICN undertakes on ongoing procurement and contracting opportunities through the life of the project.
